Our Mission

The mission of the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation is to improve our region's quality of life by increasing charitable giving, connecting donors to community needs they care about, and providing leadership on critical community issues.

Thanks to the generosity of Kansas City we have the seventh largest community foundation in the country, with our donors making grants of more than $1 billion since we were founded in 1978. But we ask a deeper question: Could we do more? Can we involve more people in philanthropy? That is a key priority of the Foundation going forward and we hope you will join us to accomplish this.
